Job Title: Junior AI Engineer
Location: Dallas / Hybrid
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Junior AI Engineer to assist in the development, fine-tuning, and deployment of AI models, particularly LLM-based solutions. You will work with senior engineers to implement machine learning algorithms, build Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, and develop AI-powered systems such as chatbots. The ideal candidate will have a background in machine learning, LLM API integration, and proficiency in Python. This role requires a passion for AI, problem-solving, and working in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Model Development & Fine-Tuning:
- Assist in fine-tuning Large Language Models (LLMs) and building RAG pipelines.
- Implement Langchain framework and OpenAI API functions for integrating LLM models.
- Apply SAFE AI principles when working with AI models.
2. AI-Powered Application Development:
- Develop and maintain AI-driven applications such as chatbots, particularly for generating personalized outputs.
- Design conversational flows that interact with backend systems, gather user requirements, and provide relevant outputs.
- Implement long-term memory features in chatbots and store chat history in MongoDB or Vector DB for better user experience.
3. Web & API Development:
- Support the creation of backend services and API endpoints using Flask.
- Work on frontend and backend development using Next.js, ensuring smooth integration with LLMs.
- Manage session and user management for AI-powered applications.
4. Data Processing & Analysis:
- Assist in processing large datasets for model training, cleaning, and transforming data using Pandas, NumPy, and distributed computing frameworks.
- Monitor and retrain deployed models to improve performance based on user feedback and new Requirements.
5. Deployment & Maintenance:
- Deploy AI applications and chatbots using platforms like Vercel.
- Continuously improve AI systems based on feedback and maintain updated pipelines.
6. Collaboration & Documentation:
- Work with senior engineers and stakeholders to design and implement AI solutions.
- Document model architecture, workflows, and system processes.
Qualifications:
· Education: Bachelor’s/Master degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or a related field.
· Experience:
- 2 to 4 years of experience in machine learning or AI development.
- Experience with LLM models, RAG pipelines, and Langchain framework.
- Proficiency in Python programming.
- Familiarity with frontend/backend development using Next.js, Flask, and API development.
- Experience with MongoDB and Vector DB for data management is a plus.
· Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, pattern recognition, and neural networks.
- Proficient in Python and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with LLM APIs (e.g., GPT-4), Langchain, and OpenAI function calling.
- Knowledge of data manipulation tools like Pandas, NumPy.
