Position Summary
The role of Mechanical Drafter II will be to create and/or modify component and assembly design layouts; dimensional stacks; component, assembly and proposal drawings with minimal engineering direction and in accordance with customer requirements.
Position Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate proficiency in 2D drafting and detailing.
  • Create and modify 2D drawings independently without the need for supervision.
  • Apply a basic understanding of 3D modeling concepts and commands.
  • Possess foundational knowledge of dimensioning and annotations.
  • Exhibit a solid grasp of measurement systems (Imperial and Metric) and effectively utilize tools such as tape measures, calipers, protractors/angle finders, and micrometers.
  • Show general understanding of ASME Y14.5 standards.
  • Understand engineering standards and best practices.
  • Display a basic knowledge of materials and their properties.
  • Interpret and apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) accurately.
  • Utilize strong problem-solving skills to address design challenges.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Demonstrate intermediate time management and organizational abilities.
  • Show a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
Required Qualifications
  • Associate's degree, trade school diploma or equivalent technical experience
  • 3-5 years' experience or equivalent with the primary responsibilities inclusive of mechanical component and assembly drawings and the creation of bills of materials.
  • Experience using computer-aided drafting principles, geometric tolerancing fundamentals, and established design standards to create mechanical designs for ProEnergy Services manufacturing.
  • Experience with CAD Software (Solidworks, Creo, or NX preferred)
  • Technical competence including understanding software, hardware, networks, etc.
  • Must read, write and speak fluent English.
  • US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.
  • Successful candidate will need to satisfactorily complete pre-employment drug screen and background check

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities to meet deadlines for long-and short-term objectives.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite programs.
  • Proficient in the use of a variety of general office equipment and skilled at typing at a speed necessary for successful job performance.
  • Knowledge of communication principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of principles of business letter writing and report preparation.
  • Knowledge of correct English usage, spelling, grammar and punctuation.
  • Knowledge of basic business arithmetic.
  • Travel might be required as needed.
  • Overtime might be required as needed.
