Akkodis is seeking a Biomedical Engineer for a hybrid 12 month contract role for a medical device company in Jacksonville, FL. The Biomedical Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and processing of implants and instruments under the direction of a project leader or manager. Good communication, teamwork and organizational skills are essential. An understanding of human physiology and joint mechanics is required.
Pay/Salary Range: $36.20/hour
Biomedical Engineer job responsibilities include:
- Supporting DHF remediation activities
- Generating comprehensive protocols for testing/analyzing the product
- Generating design assurance documentation for the project
QUALIFICATIONS:
- B.S. degree from an ABET accredited school (or global equivalent) in an engineering or science discipline, as preferred by the specific department
- 1 to 3 years of experience
- Familiarity with drafting standards and geometric differences and tolerancing
- Understanding of DHF requirements
- Ability to effectively work within a team to expedite completion of critical project tasks with other functional groups
- CAD modeling and drawing creation understanding
- Establishing a process method which meets performance and quality requirements
- Microsoft Office Suite and Project
