Software Engineer

About The Company

Our client is an investment adviser with over $20 billion in AUM focused on investing in global credit and special situations. The Software Engineer will join the core development team and will be responsible for building in-house systems along with integrating and customizing third-party applications critical to the operation of the firm.

Responsibilities

1. Develop, support, document, and test the firm’s custom .NET straight-through processing trade platform, portfolio management platform, as well as other business-critical .NET platform functions – including research, pricing, financing, trade settlement, compliance, diagnostic, and workflow modules.
2. Develop, support, document, and test custom integrations for third-party platforms such as Unit4 Agresso, SharePoint, and IntegriData.
3. Write well organized and thought-out documentation using Confluence.
4. Identify performance bottlenecks and system bugs, and devise solutions to these problems.
5. Work directly with the project management and business teams to translate application requirements into functional applications.

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science required.
2. 3-8 years of software engineering experience.
3. Strong experience with Java or C# development.
4. Experience developing SQL and stored procedures.
5. Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell a plus.
6. Experience with DevOps, C/I, and GIT a plus.
