The Controls Engineer will maintain automation system and assist with proposes, designs and implementation through specific on going and new projects

Client Details

A global measurement product manufacturer with smaller more niche facilities across the Northeast. This will be the first Controls Engineer expert apart of the manufacturing engineer as they will assist in automation and control development.

Description

The Controls Engineer will be responsible for:

• Maintain and fix issues with automated manufacturing systems.
• Design and build PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and Loop Controller systems according to project needs, completing them on time.
• Program and troubleshoot PLCs and Loop Controllers from different brands like Automation Direct and Allen-Bradley.
• Create and update HMI (Human Machine Interface) screens for users to interact with the controllers.
• Program machine controllers and add any extra controls the equipment might need.

Profile

The successful Controls Engineer will have what follows:

• BS in Engineering discipline
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing facility
• Background in clean sheet design control would be big plus
• Experience with legacy machine maintenance and upgrades would be a big plus
