Senior Security Engineer - VIrtual

This role supports services provided to the federal government or federal government contractor and therefore requires US Citizenship. Proof of citizenship status will be required at time of hire.

Alight Solutions is hiring a Senior Security Engineer with broad experience in the Cybersecurity Services portfolio to serve as a security champion within our organization. The ideal candidate should be passionate about security and excited to promote and teach it within our organization. This role will collaborate with other cyber product owners, IT partners, and business stakeholders to help define, implement, and ensure our technology and processes are aligned to the cyber threats that could impact the company.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate with other Engineers and product owners to plan future efforts to reduce risk for the enterprise, based on threat probability, availability of resources, and competing efforts.
2. Delivery of complex technical risk topics to multiple levels of audience.
3. Conduct security reviews and audits of new software/applications, as well as existing software, and communicate audit results with stakeholders.
4. Assist in the creation of client ready materials.
5. Assist in the education of those in IT and the lines of business on cyber concepts.
6. Step in to assist with every aspect of Cybersecurity as needed. We are a tight-knit group, with many overlapping areas of responsibility.
7. Drive the development of technology roadmaps in traditional and cloud hosting environments.
8. Drive quality across cyber product domain solutions in support of enterprise security and client security requirements.
9. Help operationalize products and transition to the Operations.

Qualifications:

1. 6+ years of experience in technology and 4 of that in cyber security across multiple domains
2. Knowledge of all relevant threats and counter measures
3. Knowledge and experience with relevant compliance frameworks including, but not limited to NIST 800-53
4. Experience developing, deploying, and operating controls in a large enterprise environment.
5. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
6. Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Skills and Experience:

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science / information security.
2. Possession of industry-recognized security certifications
3. Familiarity with security frameworks and industry technology standards

Salary Pay Range

Minimum: 145,000.00

Maximum: 175,000.00
