GENERAL DESCRIPTIONResponsible for maintaining current CNC programs for mill and lathes and working with machinists to verify parts are set-up correctly.DUTIESCreates CNC G-Code programs using Cam software for 3 Axis machine's up to 5 Axis machines Using Mastercam or Surfcam ( Prefer MasterCam )Hass Mill and Lathe ExperienceEstablishes programming standards within the shopEnsures all CNC programs are maintainedConfigures appropriate toolingCreates, maintains, and standardizes set-up sheetsSelects the appropriate fixtures and/or designs new fixtures when necessaryMultitasks between creating new programs and editing programsPossesses good communication and organizational skillsTraining less experienced machinistOther Duties as assigned.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSTwo-year College or technical school in machine technology with emphasis in CNC programming preferredEight to ten years' experience in a machining environment.Strong Background in programming fifth axis machines using MasterCam in job shopWe maintain a drug-free workplace and perform post offer, pre-employment substance abuse testing.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
