Type: Full-TimeLocation: Huntsville, ALRequired Skills:Active Secret clearanceRequired Experience:Experience evaluating, coordinating, and risk mitigations with HPM/RF systemsBachelors degree in electrical engineering or related engineering fieldMinimum of 10 years relevant experiencePosition Description:Duties and Responsibilities (to include but not be limited to the following): Serve as an HPM/RF Engineer for the U.S. Army Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office (RCCTO) Indirect Fire Protection Capability - High Power Microwave (IFPC-HPM) in Huntsville, AL.The candidate shall provide: analysis of technical data provided by vendor; insight into effects of HPM on other equipment; and recommendations to Government as the sole HPM subject matter expert on site.Responsibilities:Perform critical analysis of technical data packages including but not limited to: SRR/SFR/PDR/CDR presentations, HPM acceptance test planning/results, HPM lethality analysis, and HPM risk mitigation strategies.Provide recommendation on emplacement of HPM system to maximize lethality while limiting impact to equipment.Interface with Naval Surface Warfare Division-Dahlgren HPM SMEs to provide RCCTO leadership with recommendations on a wide range efforts being conducted.Work with all stakeholders to gain approval to operate HPM system both CONUS and OCONUS.Perform all source analysis to acquire required technical specifications.Provide Professional Engineering Advice, guidance and assistance in various stages of research, development and deployment.Formulate/estimate technical parameters that are not available from all source analysis.Support preparation of risk assessment reports, safety assessment reports, and technical data packages and presentationmaterials.Desired Qualifications:Must be able to effectively work within a multi-disciplined team, including program management and technical/engineering personnel.Experience with Directed Energy Weapon Initial Operational Employment Review and Approval Process (DEWRAP) process.Experience with wide range of sensors (EO/IR, Radar, etc.).Experience with non-kinetic effectors (Lasers, EW, etc.).Day-to-Day work requires the development of detailed schedules and processesUnderstand system engineering processes.Strong oral and written communications skills.Demonstrated experience in using MS Office suite products (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)Demonstrate a professional demeanor in working with senior Army leadership.Clearance:Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
