Software Engineer (Expert)-App & Platform Mgmt-IT-Corp-US

Job Description:

1. Be a core member of the engineering team focused on creating a simplified experience for end-users to easily ingest, access, and curate data using GCP technologies and services.

Responsibilities:

1. Familiarity with creating and maintaining containerized application deployments with a platform like Kubernetes.
2. Strong understanding of relational data models (RDBMS/SQL, query patterns & optimization, etc.). NoSQL also a plus.
3. Experience developing for or architecting distributed software systems (use of message queues, scalable compute & storage, etc).
4. A high level of comfort with Unit Testing and its associated methodologies.
5. Proven experience building and maintaining data-intensive APIs using gRPC.

Experience:

1. At least 7 years experience in software engineering.
2. Strong skills in at least one general-purpose programming language (Go, Java, C#, Python, backend Typescript, etc).
3. A proven ability to build and maintain cloud based infrastructure on a major cloud provider like AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform.

Skills:

1. Demonstrated proficiency with Go.
2. Experience with protocol buffers and a RESTful approach.
3. Experience with: Google Cloud Platform, Google Kubernetes Engine or Kubernetes.
4. Experience working with Google BigQuery.

Education:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
