Primary Responsibilities
The Senior Integrated Systems Engineer will play a critical role in advancing our manufacturing capabilities by working across various business units, new product development teams, and other functional groups. This role is responsible for investigating and developing new technologies, establishing new standards (equipment, software, processes, etc.), mentoring and developing talent, and providing comprehensive solutions to test and assembly challenges through system development. The ideal candidate must be able to work both autonomously and collaboratively, driving projects to completion with minimal oversight. Specific responsibilities may include:
  • Technology Development: Lead the investigation, evaluation, and implementation of new technologies to enhance manufacturing efficiency, product quality, and innovation.
  • Standards Development: Develop and maintain standards for equipment, software, and processes to ensure consistency, reliability, and compliance across the organization.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with business units, product development teams, and other functional groups to identify, gather requirements and develop solutions to solve test and assembly challenges.
  • Solution Delivery: Design and implement integrated systems that address test and assembly issues, ensuring seamless operation and optimization of manufacturing processes.
  • Autonomous Project Management: Independently manage and execute projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, within scope, and budget.
  • Mentorship & Development: Mentor and develop engineering talent within the organization, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
  • Providing regular reports and presentations on the status and outcomes of testing activities to management and other stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Software Engineering or a related field
  • 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment in similar product development, reliability, test, or quality roles
  • Ability to work autonomously, demonstrating initiative and drive to achieve results with minimal supervision
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering projects
  • Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to think strategically
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across multiple departments and levels of the organization
  • Familiarity with system design, specifically electrical circuits, electro/mechanical systems integration, industrial communication
  • Hands-on experience with data acquisition systems, data analytics and SW programming
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience mentoring and developing engineering teams
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing new technologies and standards
  • Experience with automation and vision systems, safety systems/processes
  • LabView software development experience
