Software Engineer Manager

Signature Solar seeks a seasoned and innovative Software Engineering Manager to lead the development and maintenance of our eCommerce platform, enhancing our capabilities in the solar industry. As the Software Engineering Manager, you will oversee all aspects of ecommerce software development, including system architecture, project management, code review, and the deployment of scalable technologies. Your leadership will be pivotal in advancing our eCommerce solutions, ensuring system reliability, and driving initiatives that improve user experience and operational efficiency.

A successful candidate must be able to:

1. Team Leadership: Manage a team of software engineers for an ecommerce store, fostering an environment of innovation and accountability.
2. Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software projects, ensuring they meet quality standards and are completed on schedule.
3. Technology Solutions: Develop and implement technical strategies that align with business goals, focusing on enhancing ecommerce capabilities and customer satisfaction.
4. Performance Optimization: Ensure the eCommerce platform operates at peak efficiency with minimal downtime, optimizing for scalability and security.
5. Collaboration: Work closely with other department heads, particularly in sales and marketing, to ensure the software development aligns with business needs and market trends.
6. Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce quality control standards and processes to deliver flawless functionality and user experiences.
7. Compliance and Security: Monitor developments in software law and cybersecurity, adapting practices to maintain compliance and protect company data.
8. Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending and implementing innovative tools and practices.
9. All other duties assigned.

A successful candidate will demonstrate:

1. Strategic Thinking: Proven track record of developing strategic software solutions that align with business objectives.
2. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and team management.
3. Problem-solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to innovate under pressure.
4. Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of web technologies, software development life cycle, and current software engineering trends particularly in ecommerce.

Qualifications:

1. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering preferred, and or at least 5 years of experience in software development, with 3 years in a managerial role.
2. Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team of software engineers.
