Agility Partners is seeking a qualified Senior Backend Java Developer to fill an open position with one of our banking clients. This role offers an exciting opportunity to build critical backend services for a Disputes Case Management platform, including the development of a Backend for Front-End (BFF) connected to enterprise data domains. You will play a pivotal role in both hands-on development and consultative guidance, leading a team and supporting key business processes. The position involves working closely with experienced engineers to deliver robust, sustainable solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Backend for Front-End (BFF) services for the Disputes Case Management platform.
• Lead development efforts, including hands-on coding and consulting, to ensure alignment with business requirements.
• Interface with domain services, enabling testing with Wiremock and creating mock data.
• Document new software, including architecture and process flow diagrams, and transition new solutions to the team for management.

The Ideal Candidate

• 5+ years of experience with Java, including exposure to Java 21.
• Proficiency in Spring Boot and Spring Framework.
• Experience with Stateless Services (e.g., BFF) and Open API.
• Strong background in OAUTH and OpenShift is a plus.
• Experience in the banking/financial services sector is beneficial.
• Expertise in Java EE platforms, Object-Oriented analysis, and design patterns, with knowledge of relational databases, SQL, ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate), and web application frameworks (JSF, Wicket, GWT, Spring MVC).
