Role: Senior Controls Engineer
Location: Detroit Metropolitan Area, MI/Onsite (50% Travel required)
Job Type: 6 months Contract to hire
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Controls Engineer located in the Detroit Metropolitan Area. The Senior Controls Engineer will be responsible for day-to-day tasks related to Controls/PLC software development, PLC Programming and troubleshooting/debugging. They will apply their expertise to develop and implement automation solutions, work on machine vision projects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
Qualifications
- Advanced Controls Software development experience using Allen-Bradley Studio5000/FactoryTalk View and Siemens TIA Portal
- Strong background in Electrical Engineering, and Electrical Hardware Design, using AutoCAD and EPlan design software
- Advanced problem-solving and Troubleshooting expertise
- Experience integrating Robotic Systems
- Knowledge of diverse automation systems applications and technologies
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Experience with machine vision is a plus
- Experience in Motion Control (Servo Drives, VFD's and Actuators)
- Familiarity with industrial applications and controls
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40.00 - $55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
