The Human Systems Integration Engineer II integrates human considerations during the engineering and development of NAVWAR systems by conducting comprehensive assessments of requirements, concepts, and resources across multiple domains.
Essential Job Functions:
- Maintains and modifies artifacts in support of architectures, specifications, and standards.
- Provides support for all aspects of systems engineering activities, including the development and review of acquisition engineering documentation.
- Reviews acquisition engineering documentation for programs in RT&E.
- Provides input of Systems Integration requirements and plans.
Required Skills:
- Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Must have DOD Secret Clearance.
- ABET accredited BS in an engineering discipline or BS in physical science, engineering, or mathematics required. Also requires a minimum of 4 years of relevant Human Systems Integration (HSI) engineering experience.
- An active Secret clearance is required.
Experience in at least two of the following:
- HSI design, installation, integration, and test support.
- Multi-domain HSI engineering analysis, impact assessments, and tradeoff studies of complex systems.
- Development of design documentation/specifications.
- HSI-related engineering requirements, performance, and risk analysis.
- HSI test planning and test procedures development, test conduct, analysis, and reporting.
- Understanding of Naval operations from the unit through operational staff and HQ levels.
- Conducting mission task analysis, top-down functional analysis, and critical task analysis.
Must be familiar with researching and analyzing missions, tactics, equipment, interfaces, and resource allocation in new and developing systems.
Knowledge of certification-related functions involved in the NAVWAR Information Assurance Technical Authority mission and process such as Risk Management Framework (RMF), Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR), cyber risk to mission, and cybersecurity readiness.
Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and must be able to communicate clearly and succinctly in written and oral presentations.
Desired Skills:
- Familiarity with Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) system documentation.
- Top secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
