Urban, Ltd. is seeking current Civil Engineering majors for Fall 2024 paid internships in our Annandale & Chantilly, Virginia offices. Internship duration and schedule can be tailored to fit the qualified individual's needs. Open to all levels of college students.
Successful senior or graduate-level interns have often transitioned to a full-time Project Engineer positions and increased compensation without further interviews or hiring processes upon graduation.
Daily responsibilities will include:

  • Learn the site development process as a member of a civil engineering team
  • Perform civil engineering design and calculations as they relate to site development and transportation projects
  • Provide support to design teams in the completion of civil engineering construction documents
  • Prepare exhibits, details, and technical drawings using AutoCAD, GIS, or other software noted below
Requirements/Preferences:
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's level program in Civil Engineering
  • Ability to work in one of our offices in Northern Virginia part-time during the Fall of 2025
  • Prior internships or coursework related to land development is a plus
Desired Computer Skills:
  • AutoCAD and Civil3D
  • Microsoft Office
