Description:
Travel: 25-50% travel domestically and into Mexico.
- Plans and designs manufacturing processes in industrial plant.
- Maximizes efficiency by analyzing layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization.
- Determines parts and tools needed in order to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specification.
- May require a bachelor's degree in engineering and 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
- Works under immediate supervision.
- Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment.
Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
Summary:
Special project focal point to facilitate knowledge transfer between multiple production locations.
• Coordinate across multi-site cross functional team to ensure the successful implementation of existing products at primary site, secondary site or dual sourced at both.
• Tooling review and management between sites.
• Determines the methods and sequences of manufacturing operations for moderately complex products and machine parts and assemblies; ensures that products and processes meet customer quality requirements.
• Discover and document hidden factory and prepare written or graphical work instructions for the communication of manufacturing requirements to production personnel.
• Support root cause-corrective action activities as necessary.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Work assignments may include cross-functional (e.g. quality, design, or test engineering) or project team responsibilities.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
• Years of Experience required 2-5
Preferred Requirements
• Mechanical/Industrial/Aerospace Engineering experience.
• General knowledge of aerospace or similar industry products and legal and regulatory requirements related to manufacturing plants.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals and policies and recommend changes to procedures.
• Familiarity with welding of aluminum and steel sheet metal assemblies in an aerospace environment.
• Familiarity with brazed heat exchanger core assemblies.
• Willingness to travel 25-50%,
