. We are seeking an Azure Senior Cloud Engineer to work under the guidance of our Azure Cloud Architect. As part of our Strategy and Architecture team, you will play a vital role in implementing and optimizing cloud solutions that support the organization’s strategic goals. This position focuses on ensuring the robustness, scalability, and security of our cloud infrastructure across global operations.

Position Summary

As an Azure Senior Cloud Engineer, you will collaborate closely with the Azure Cloud Architect to implement cloud architectures that align with business objectives. You will be responsible for the hands-on deployment, management, and optimization of cloud resources, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of performance and security. Your expertise in Microsoft Azure will be critical in maintaining and enhancing our cloud environments, contributing to the overall success of our technology initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement cloud architectures designed by the Azure Cloud Architect, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements.
• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure, focusing on performance, scalability, and security.
• Deploy and configure cloud services, ensuring they meet the necessary compliance and governance standards.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to automate and streamline cloud operations using infrastructure-as-code (IaC) principles.
• Monitor cloud environments, identifying and addressing issues related to performance, cost, and security.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of cloud documentation, including architecture diagrams, operational procedures, and disaster recovery plans.
• Provide support for cloud-related incidents, troubleshooting issues, and implementing solutions to prevent future occurrences.
• Participate in the evaluation of new cloud technologies and tools, providing recommendations to enhance the existing cloud landscape.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of cloud processes and practices, promoting a culture of efficiency and innovation.
• Ensure that all cloud deployments adhere to company policies, standards, and best practices, particularly in the areas of security and compliance.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior cloud engineers, sharing knowledge and best practices within the team.

Key Skills and Experience

• Extensive experience in cloud engineering, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure.
• Proven ability to implement and manage scalable, secure cloud environments.
• Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or Azure DevOps.
• Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.
• Experience in monitoring and optimizing cloud environments, with a focus on performance and cost efficiency.
• Familiarity with cloud networking, storage, and compute services within the Azure ecosystem.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex cloud-related issues.
• Strong communication skills, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work under the guidance of the Azure Cloud Architect, contributing to the overall cloud strategy.
• Experience with automation and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) to streamline cloud operations.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with significant experience in cloud engineering and enterprise applications.
• Extensive experience in implementing and managing complex cloud environments, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure.
• Deep understanding of and expertise in cloud infrastructure, automation, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or Azure DevOps.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security principles and best practices, with a proven ability to implement secure cloud solutions.
• Proficiency in cloud networking, storage, and compute services within the Azure ecosystem.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a hands-on approach to troubleshooting and resolving complex cloud-related issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and under the guidance of the Azure Cloud Architect.
