U.S. Bank is seeking a Principal ServiceNow Engineer who will contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives in our digital transformation journey.

This position will be responsible for the analysis, design, testing, development and maintenance of best in class software experiences. The candidate is a self-motivated individual who can collaborate with a team and across the organization. The candidate takes responsibility for the software artifacts produced adhering to U.S. Bank standards in order to ensure minimal impact to the customer experience. The candidate will be adept with the agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, maintain and lead a ServiceNow IRM instance
  • Establish, maintain, and enforce governance and standards to ensure the platform and capabilities are sound, and following good practices enabling upgradeability, usability, manageability, performance and scalability.
  • Enterprise Compliance – hold product team accountable to act within the policies, standards and best practices.
  • Establishes and enforces Instance strategy.
  • Participates in technical design decisions.
  • Evaluates and onboards new capabilities/demand
  • Represent the IRM instance in technical discussions with other ServiceNow product teams

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Five to six years of relevant experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Requires ServiceNow Administration (CSA) Fundamentals Certification
  • Requires ServiceNow IRM Product experience
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – Risk and Compliance (CIS-RC)
  • Deep experience working on ServiceNow Governance
  • Experience across related ServiceNow Products ITAM (CMDB, APM, SAM, HAM), SecOps, & Vulnerability Mgmt.
  • Experience implementing and supporting Knowledge Bases & EC Pro service portal
  • Strong understanding and prior experience with Proof of Concepts and blueprints
  • Ability to influence engineers and leadership on processes and order of operations needed to achieve end results required
  • Ability/desire to mentor engineers
  • Experience with ServiceNow Stream Connect (Kafka)
  • Experience with Agile development methodology
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
  • Able to communicate processes and results with all parties involved in the product team, including engineers, product owner, scrum master, third party vendors and customers

NOTE: This role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.
