Job Title:

Test Engineer (Hardware)

Location:

Santa Clara, CA


Responsibilities:

  1. Set up test benches and computers based on released protocols/instructions.
  2. Support development of test benches for subsystem and subassembly electromechanical hardware testing during design development, in manufacturing, and/or for reliability.
  3. Debug and modify existing test scripts.
  4. Execute tests and collect test data based on test instructions.
  5. Document results and report to engineers.

Qualifications:

  1. Engineering degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics plus 3 years industry experience.
  2. Knowledge of programming concepts and ability to modify existing scripts (Python and Unix).
  3. Excellent reporting and documentation skills.
  4. Experience using data acquisition systems.

Preferred:

  1. Intermediate knowledge of automation and servo control systems.
  2. Work experience within a Medical Device manufacturing environment.

Top three non-negotiable skills:

  1. Electromechanical hardware testing.
  2. Fixtures setup, test execution, data collection, and documentation.
  3. Script modification, test setup debugging, and troubleshooting.
  4. Mechanical, Mechatronic, or Product Development Testing.
