Mechanical Assembly Worker

We're currently hiring mechanical assembly workers for a local company in Chaska. If you have strong mechanical skills and are comfortable with all types of hand and power tools, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
Location: Chaska, MN
Wage: $18 - $21/hr.
Hours: 7 am - 3:30 pm, Monday - Friday

Duties of the mechanical assembly worker:

• Read and interpret engineering drawings to determine material requirements.
• Configure items for proper fitment.
• Bolt, glue, screw, or otherwise fasten parts together.
• Fabricate according to specifications, drawings, and/or verbal directions.
• Operate machines required for production work and assembling parts.
• Test fitment of parts before modifying pieces and parts.
• Measure, cut, and fasten plumbing materials such as PVC, stainless steel, copper, or galvanized pipes.
• Fasten and secure customized production material onto custom frames.
• Test equipment to ensure proper functionality.
• Assist with preparing systems and loose equipment for shipment.

Requirements of the mechanical assembly worker:

• High school diploma or GED with one to three years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to measure quickly and accurately to 1/16th of an inch.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings or blueprints.
• Experience and confidence with hand and power tools.
