Lead Electrical Engineer (PE)

Opportunity Snapshot:

• Compensation: $117K-170K/year
• Location: Cary, NC
• Work Schedule: M-F / 40 hours + / hybrid schedule
• Assignment Duration: Direct hire

• This position requires a Professional Engineer License (any state)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
• 10+ years' experience in engineering design or consulting
• A Professional Engineer License (any state)
• Experience with power distribution systems and microgrids
• Experience with power generation projects exceeding 10MW capacity
• Experience with HV or MV Substations
• Experience with energy storage systems
• Power system modeling experience using SKM Power Tools, ETAP or similar modeling software
• Experience with Protection and Control, SCADA or power system automation
• US Citizen
• Experience with campus utility master planning or decarbonization / climate response planning, cogeneration or combined heat and power systems and/or thermal utility plants and distribution systems (steam, hot water, chilled water) is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Lead an Electrical Engineering team to provide advisory services and engineering design solutions for clients across all market sectors
• Engage with clients, evaluating their energy needs, and develop concept-level plans and solutions; then take these through detailed design to provide for full execution
• Collaborate with our client account managers and sales professionals on pursuits of strategic importance to the firm
• Anticipate challenges and manage “up and out” while supporting large teams responsible for the daily details of project delivery
• Strategy formation, business development and sales
