CNC OPERATOR

Mission:
Southern Pride Custom Cabinets (SPCC) is seeking an experienced CNC Operator for its cabinetry production facility in Madison, AL. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of CNC programs, have the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications, use precision measuring instruments, and apply shop mathematics as needed.
Responsibilities:

• Assist around the shop and performs other minor duties as assigned and related to position and team goals.
• Measure dimensions of finished workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures.
• Review program specifications or blueprints to determine and set machine operations and sequencing, finished workpiece dimensions, or numerical control sequences.
• Monitor machine operation and control panel displays and compare readings to specifications to detect malfunctions.
• Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machine.
• Precision cutting on CNC machine.

Requirements:

• HSD or GED equivalent; AS degree/certificate/certifications a plus
• Experience in woodworking, cabinet building is required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience operating CNC machines is required
• Must be able to read prints and shop drawings
• Dependability and attention to detail and follow through is crucial
• Must be able to lift (above 70lbs), bend and work on your feet for extended periods of time
• Must provide own transportation and valid driver's license
• Must pass pre-employment drug test and have clean background record

Shift Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 5:30am to 4:00pm
