DevOps Engineer
Greenwich, CT – open to remote or hybrid working
Summary:
We are a fully funded, pre-product, innovative, early stage Fintech company building a cryptocurrency exchange tailored to institutional investors and professional traders.
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer who is passionate about leveraging new technologies and enjoys automating repetitive tasks. As a DevOps Engineer you will be a core member of the IT team and will report to the Director of Infrastructure. You should possess a deep experience in writing IaC solutions, building pipelines, deploying, and managing production environments.
What you'll do:

1. Develop, release, and maintain various QA, UAT and production environments
2. Recommend ways to improve existing functionality
3. Work closely with other core members on the team
4. Deliver architecture in cloud computing platforms
5. Deploy product updates as required while implementing integrations when they arise
6. Work with open-source technologies as needed
7. Work with CI/CD tools, and source control to include GIT and GitLab
8. Manage code deployments, fixes, updates, and related processes

Skills We're Seeking:

1. 5+ years of cloud-based DevOps engineering experience
2. Significant experience writing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, terragrunt, and/or Ansible
3. Strong Kubernetes experience with Docker or RKT containerization
4. Experience with open-source technologies and cloud services
5. Strong experience with Linux-based infrastructures, Linux/Unix administration

Nice to Have's:

1. GCP experience
2. Cryptocurrency and/or Blockchain knowledge
3. Experience scripting languages such as NodeJS, JavaScript, Perl, Ruby, Python, Groovy, Bash
4. Experience with databases such as SQL, MySQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Elasticsearch, Redis, Cassandra, and/or Mongo
5. Experience in software development
6. FinTech industry exposure

Education:

1. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
