Software Engineer - Senior Level
(POSITIONS ARE CONTINGENT PENDING CONTRACT AWARD)
Why This is an Exciting Role:
As a Software Engineer - Senior Level at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics you will be responsible for:
- Developing, maintaining, and enhancing complex and diverse software systems based upon documented requirements.
- Working individually or as part of a team.
- Reviewing and testing software components for adherence to the design requirements and documenting test results.
- Resolving software problem reports.
- Utilizing software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.
- Providing specific input to the software components of system design.
Experience and Qualifications:
To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:
Required Education and Years of Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university
- 14+ years of experience as a Software Engineer
- 4 additional years of experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree
Job Requirements:
- Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance specifications.
- Design, code, and modify new or existing software to add features, correct defects, and improve performance.
- Integrate existing software into new or modified systems and operating environments.
- Develop and implement algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards.
- Assist in developing and executing test procedures for software components and systems.
- Write, review, and improve software and system documentation.
- Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards.
- Design and implement complex database queries and interfaces.
- Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning.
- Confer with system and hardware engineers to derive software requirements.
- Work with Agile systems development methods (e.g., Scrum).
Required Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Technical experience or knowledge of software development languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, Javascript, and/or VisualBasic
- Structured Query Language (SQL) for database queries and management.
Desired Qualifications:
- Cloud technologies, including AWS
- Machine Learning such as Natural Language Processing (NLP)
- Databases and object-oriented database design
- Extensible Markup Language (XML) and Extensible Stylesheet Language Transformations (XSLT)
- Web application development and working with web frameworks
- Development of solutions using enabling technologies such as the Apache suite
Telework/Remote Availability: Telework/Hybrid is approved.

Summary Pay Range:
Please note that the information shown below is a general guideline only. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
$171,000 - $205,000
