  • 36.25 -hour work week, full-time role. Hourly position, paid bi-weekly.

  • Starting salary range, determined by formula accounting for years of experience: $39,580.00 annually (base rate) to $49,480.00 annually (10 years of experience performing this same job or job with primarily the same duties.)

Data Entry Specialist
As a Data Entry Specialist at Hamilton County Developmental Disabilities Services, your day involves entering and maintaining client data in agency and state databases, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. You'll monitor data quality, resolve discrepancies, and generate reports on service trends and Medicaid allocations for leadership. In addition to managing data security, particularly for sensitive information like Protected Health Information, you'll collaborate with teams to improve data entry processes and assist with state reporting. Your role balances focused data management with opportunities to enhance systems and support the agency's mission.
Job Duties (Summary):
  • Enter and maintain client data in agency and state databases, adhering to agency policies and regulatory standards
  • Monitor data quality and compatibility with guidelines, ensuring accuracy in Home and Community Based Services waiver allocations, Medicaid Eligibility Reimbursement, and service trends
  • Maintain and reconcile data sources, investigate discrepancies, and collaborate with colleagues to resolve issues related to Medicaid services, Targeted Case Management billing, and other relevant data
  • Assist with data collection, preparation, and reporting for Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities and Medicaid compliance
  • Implement strategies to improve data accuracy, integrity, and security, safeguarding Protected Health Information and ensuring adherence to data privacy best practices
  • Generate and distribute demographic, enrollment, and audit reports, providing valuable insights for leadership and stakeholders
  • Support ad hoc data entry, cleanup efforts, and assist the Data & Analytics Manager in data maintenance and governance initiatives
  • Create and update instructional materials and training resources to ensure proper data collection methods are followed across the agency
Requirements (Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification):
  • Associate's degree or three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience will substitute for an associate's degree
  • One year of demonstrably related experience
  • Must pass background check and driving abstract
