Backend Software Engineer, Enterprise Integrations Platform

About the role

The Enterprise Integrations Platform team is responsible for envisioning, architecting, and driving Envoy’s long-term vision for success in integrating with large scale vendors. This team is in charge of the backend platform and services that make it possible to create the future of buildable integrations. The team’s focus areas include: making architectural decisions to ensure the integrations platform is secure and reliable; solving for scaling issues and optimizing performance; and improving internal developer experience through an ever-evolving platform SDK.

This is a hybrid position that requires 3 days a week (Tuesday - Thursday) in our San Francisco HQ

You will

• Stand up new services that improve the safety, reliability, and accuracy of integrations running on top of our platform
• Iterate on the platform architecture in order to improve the experience and velocity of internal developers building new integrations
• Collaborate with team members to bounce ideas off each other and see delivery of value to customers from start to finish
• Imbue the platform with strong technical foundations, and contribute to Envoy-wide efforts to improve backend technologies

You have

• 5+ years of software engineering experience or coding experience
• BS / MS in Computer Science or a related technical field
• Designed and implemented systems requiring coordination of multiple services
• Expertise in integrating services using APIs (e.g. REST, GraphQL, gRPC) and messaging (e.g. Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS)
• Experience in writing, maintaining, and debugging code in a production environment using a JVM language (Kotlin, Scala, or Java)
• Strong technical foundations for patterns and anti-patterns in software engineering and platform architecture

Compensation description

Envoy's compensation package includes market competitive salary, equity for all full time roles, and great benefits. If you are located inSan Francisco Bay Area , our expected cash compensation for this role is$170K- $195K (Annually).Final offers may vary within the range provided based on experience, expertise, and other factors.
