The Transportation Team is looking for a passionate software programmer analyst who will be responsible for working with business and operations to gather ship carrier requirements and collaborate with transportation technology teams to integrate new carriers and shipping methods into the network. As part of the integration, you will design, develop, and maintain transportation documents like shipping labels, carrier electronic manifests, and invoices. You will also work alongside development on Amazon Corporate and Divisional Software projects, updating/enhancing our current software, automating manual configuration processes, and documenting our systems.


Your solutions will impact our customers directly! This job requires you to constantly hit the ground running, and your ability to learn quickly and work on disparate and overlapping tasks will define your success. The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, have superior verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks at once. You should be able to work independently and maintain professionalism under pressure. You must be able to identify problems before they happen and implement solutions that detect and prevent outages. Additionally, you should accurately prioritize projects, make sound judgments, work to improve the customer experience, and get the right things done.


Minimum Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's in Computer Science or a related field with 0-5 years of experience.
  2. Knowledge of scripting languages such as SQL, Perl, Python, XML, or Ruby.
  3. Ability to write code in C, C++, or Java.
  4. Ability to understand functional/technical specifications and analyze data.
  5. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail, including the ability to track multiple test executions simultaneously and synthesize the results.
