Project Manager - Maintenance Engineering

The Maintenance Engineering -Project Manager ensures the safe, reliable operation of plant equipment and mechanical systems. Provide for the highest level of crew safety and support to mechanics supervised and provide needed technical assistance. They develop and execute capital project plans, with focus on maintenance repair/replace projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Ensure daily safe operations and crew safety
• Lead and manage assigned maintenance and other personnel as required
• Assign and ensure all work is done safely and correctly
• Prepare required reports and maintain data and other records as required
• Maintain the highest level of equipment up time within areas of responsibility
• Develop and improve the capabilities of assigned maintenance personnel and equipment
• Capital Project Management
• Project cost estimates and AFCE development, detail design for total project funding and planning
• Manage capital projects to successful completion
• Communicate and report progress on a regular basis
• Track and control spending to within AFCE approved level

Leadership/Supervision

• Responsible for planning, organizing, and directing personnel to meet plant objectives
• Coordinate activities between multiple contractors / departments
• Direct supervision of Capital & Maintenance projects and personnel

Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• Five (5+) years maintenance supervisory experience
• Five (5+) years capital/expense project management experience
• Preferred experience in limestone mining, crushing, milling and pulverizing
