Job Description
We are seeking a motivated computer engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate has experience in software design, implementation, and real-time data processing. They will analyze complex manufacturing and scientific devices, devise a data collection and storage strategy, followed by an implementation. The data will be used for data analytics and visualization to support hard disk drive (HDD) media development for next generation product technologies, including heat assisted magnetic recording (HAMR).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy programs to collect data from IoT devices, such as manufacturing and scientific tools for media development.
- Ensure high reliability of the processes, data integrity and accuracy by implementing robust data validation and quality assurance practices.
- Add new features, perform maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with engineers in the media organization to understand their data needs.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer engineering, information systems, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in coding in various forms, such as Python, C++, Java, SQL, etc.
- Experience in Docker, Kubernetes and Kafka a plus.
Skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
