Job Title: Software Engineer in Test
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend automation, API testing, and end-to-end testing for microservices. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and enhance backend automation frameworks using Java and JUnit .
- Design and execute API tests, ensuring alignment with REST concepts.
- Perform end-to-end testing for microservices-based systems.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve defects across various software components.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery.
- Maintain and update technical documentation and test plans.
- Utilize work ticketing systems such as Jira to manage tasks and track progress.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of RESTful API concepts and API testing tools like Postman/Insomnia , Curl , or HTTPie .
- Expertise in Java programming, with advanced skills in JUnit , Spring Boot , and Spring Framework .
- Knowledge of core programming concepts such as serialization, Java collections, asynchronous programming, and data mapping.
- Experience working with Java-related tools (e.g., Maven , IntelliJ ).
- Familiarity with Kafka or similar messaging frameworks (e.g., RabbitMQ , Spark ).
- Exposure to Kubernetes and experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB , DocumentDB ).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Gitlab , Jenkins , Harness ).
- Knowledge of TestRail or similar test management tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
