We are looking to expand our existing team by hiring exceptional software engineers into our Quantitative Research Group. The entrepreneurial culture and small-firm environment at Bracebridge Capital rewards and supports motivated, enthusiastic, energetic, and results-oriented individuals.

The Quantitative Research Group is responsible for the exploration, development, and implementation of cutting-edge quantitative techniques and the support, refining, and optimization of current models. Members of the group work directly with the portfolio managers and strategists to develop tools that will be actively used by the trading group and that directly impact the company’s bottom line.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications utilizing C#/WPF to ensure robust functionality and optimization.
  • Engage collaboratively with developers and stakeholders to ascertain software specifications and requirements.
  • Author clean, efficient, and maintainable code adhering to standards and best practices.
  • Debug and resolve defects and issues.
  • Assist in the documentation of codebase and software architecture.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of C#/WPF and related technologies.
  • Support the optimization of existing software applications, identifying areas for improvement and implementing enhancements to ensure continual performance.

Qualifications:

  • Proven professional background in developing WPF applications utilizing C#, substantiated by:
  • A Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years of relevant experience, or
  • A Master’s degree with 1-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in object-oriented programming, demonstrating a solid grasp of core concepts and practices.
  • Well-versed in SQL, showcasing strong abilities in database querying, design, and management.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team-oriented environment, demonstrating a proactive and positive attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills, fostering a collaborative environment and effectively articulating technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a capacity to meticulously analyze issues and devise practical solutions.
  • Continuous learner, motivated to stay updated with the evolving landscape of software technologies and methodologies.
