The Associate Program Engineer’s is a trainee level position.  Associate Program Engineers work under the guidance of a Senior Manager, Engineering with primary responsibility for the management of assigned HVACR industry working groups and associated certification programs.  Duties include but are not limited to:
Certification Programs
  • Assist with product testing, certification participants and third-party laboratories to ensure accurate and timely completion of market surveillance testing.
  • Support new applicants in the qualification process of certification programs.
  • Evaluate, determine, and select which units need to be tested in each program.
  • Verify testing process is conducted in accordance with governing documents.
  • Review and approve test reports for technical accuracy.
  • Ensure accuracy of the AHRI Directory and compliance with regulatory bodies.
Standards
    • Promote and educate the industry in the value of AHRI rating standards.
    • Work with technical working groups to develop Performance rating standards and guidelines.
    • Support the development and track progress of ASHRAE method of tests.
Regulatory & Government Affairs
    • Support AHRI Regulatory and Government Affairs Department staff in convening meetings with members and providing subject matter information about laws and regulations affecting the HVACR industry. 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree from a nationally accredited four-year college or university in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering emphasis preferred)
  • Minimum of six months of relevant experience
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

AHRI offers a full benefits package with a flexible hybrid work schedule and a friendly work environment. The salary for this position is $70,000.
