This Opportunity
KU Resources is seeking a senior level Geotechnical Engineer with 5 to 15 years experience to join our team at our Duquesne, Pennsylvania office. This position will be full-time with benefits.
Primary Responsibilities
· Perform the design and analysis of a wide variety of complex geotechnical projects in the residential and commercial markets
· Prepare geotechnical investigation reports
· Project management tasks such as developing proposals including budgets and scopes, invoicing projects, client communications, and contract reviews
· Slope stability analysis
· Retaining wall design
Keyword(s): Geotechnical Engineer
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required; Master’s degree in Geotechnical or Structural Engineering is a plus.
· Professional Engineer (PE) required
- Strong understanding of geotechnical engineering including soil mechanics, bearing capacity, settlement, slope stability, lateral earth pressures, retaining walls, coal mine mitigation
Physical Job Requirements
- Must have a valid driver’s license and pass drug screening.
