As our Senior Environmental Engineer specializing in Air Emissions, you will play a crucial role in ensuring environmental compliance and driving sustainable practices within our organization.


Key Responsibilities

Air Quality Management

  • Review auditing and testing reports, sharing findings with management and preparing Management of Change (MOC) for new emissions parameters.
  • Prepare air quality permit applications and environmental impact reports.
  • Perform air emission calculations using mass-balance methods, engineering judgment, and AP-42 emission factors.
  • Schedule Title V testing with regulatory agencies and coordinate with operational areas.

Compliance and Reporting

  • Manage compliance for air quality regulations, with a focus on Title V requirements.
  • Oversee the transition of MACT reporting from Proficy to CEMLink platform, collaborating with various departments.
  • Maintain complex environmental permitting and regulatory tracking systems.

Waste Management and Safety

  • Evaluate hazards and determine proper disposal methods.
  • Manage Universal and Hazardous Wastes and Used Oil programs.
  • Serve as DOT signee for hazardous materials shipments.

Project Management and Consultation

  • Manage consultants and budgets for RATAs, stack testing, CEMS monitoring, and LDARs.
  • Provide support for capital projects, offering air permitting assistance.
  • Liaise with regulatory agencies and consultants on complex environmental issues.

Continuous Improvement

  • Drive system development and improvement initiatives.
  • Promote employee engagement to achieve desired results.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Chemistry, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of practical/technical experience in environmental engineering
  • DOT and RCRA certifications
  • Experience with PSM and RMP
  • Understanding of storm water and wastewater permits and reporting requirements
  • Stack testing experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to move frequently throughout the facility, including bending and stooping
  • Occasional lifting up to 20 lbs
  • Comfort working in a high-speed manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, airborne particles, and varying temperatures


Additional Requirements

  • Willingness to work on-call during select weekends
  • Ability to use various office tools and equipment, including computers and hand tools
  • Comfort with wearing required Personal Protective Equipment in mill environments
