Role Description: The Process and Estimating Engineer will play a crucial role in estimating costs for project solutions, working closely with the Proposals Department Manager.
Responsibilities include:
- Soliciting and evaluating quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Performing detailed calculations in fields such as mechanics, electrical, and fluid mechanics.
- Developing accurate proposals for customer submission.
- Conducting quality control reviews to ensure estimates meet the defined scope.
- Collaborating within a team of engineers and reporting to the Proposals Department Manager.
As the candidate advances in the role, potential additional duties may involve:
- Analyzing technical specifications to create process flows.
- Developing and validating piping, instrumentation, and process flow diagrams.
- Preparing detailed estimates for projects ranging from $100,000 to $30 million.
- Supporting project teams in transitioning from proposal to implementation.
Qualifications:
Essential qualifications include:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering (mechanical, manufacturing process, civil, ceramic, etc.).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with various departments and stakeholders.
- A strong interest in manufacturing processes with a comprehensive project perspective.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a task-oriented environment.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with AutoCAD software.
- Proficiency in French is highly desirable.
Additional Details: This on-site, direct hire opportunity is located in Lakewood, CO. It operates Monday through Friday, with up to 10% travel initially, which may expand over time. The role offers significant growth potential within the company.
Salary: Offers a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $95,000, based on the candidate's experience.
