A closer look at WHAT IT TAKES

As a Mechanical Build Leader, you are responsible for leading the mechanical build team in the development and implementation of mechanical systems and products. The goal is to oversee and execute the mechanical build, integration, and installation of tooling and complete robotic production lines in accordance with customer specifications.

Some of the responsibilities:

1. Preparing, supervising and executing the mechanical build process;
2. Assembly, adjustment, checking, and commissioning of tools and complete installations at VDL Steelweld in accordance with customer and VDL Steelweld specifications;
3. Monitor the quality and quantity of the work of individual employees;
4. Implementing and reporting on corrective measures in consultation with the Manufacturing Manager;
5. Guiding, directing, controlling and motivating internal/external contractors;
6. Implementing non-process or functional changes;
7. Process and/or functional changes are made in consultation with the Manufacturing Manager, Mechanical Engineer, Design Engineer, Project Manager, Site Manager, Shipping/Receiving/Warehouse Coordinator.

3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
4. Strong supervisory and leadership skills;
5. Knowledge of safe mechanical assembly and installation practices.

Do you have the EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE?

1. Minimum 7 years’ experience in mechanical assembly and assembly line manufacturing environment;
