ServiceNow:Information Security Engineer Intern

As an Information Security Engineer Intern you may:

1. Deploy and/or configure proprietary and commercial software products to support cryptography, production host security, authentication, authorization, MFA, and other security verticals.
2. Assess security risks and the impact of issues impacting ServiceNow and design and implement solutions to address shortcomings.
3. Work with stakeholders to provide triage and remediation recommendations.

Qualifications:

1. Currently enrolled in an accredited university as a full-time student pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or equivalent.
2. Graduating December 2024, or later.
3. Ability to obtain work authorization and commit to a 12-week internship in summer 2024 (May-August, or June-September).
4. Fundamental understanding of one or more of the following: operating systems, software development, cybersecurity, systems engineering, or network engineering.
5. Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, Shell, C, etc.
6. Linux or Unix experience.
7. Understanding of computing, operation, and function.
8. Understanding of network communications OSI.
9. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
10. Familiarity with security vulnerabilities and risk assessment (MITRE/AT&CK).
11. Personal or academic projects focused in the security domain.
12. An analytical mind for problem solving, abstract thought, and offensive security tactics.
13. Strong interpersonal skills (written and oral communication). Must work well in a team setting.
