Location: Hybrid, DC area

Key Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with stakeholders to design and plan IT systems and infrastructure based on business needs.
2. Develop system architecture blueprints and documentation.
3. Select and configure hardware, software, and network components.
4. Install and configure server hardware and operating systems.
5. Set up and manage virtualization technologies.
6. Support the deployment and configuration of network equipment, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
7. Administer and maintain servers, storage systems, and network devices.
8. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize configurations.
9. Implement security measures and ensure compliance with security policies.
10. Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructure.
11. Manage and troubleshoot SD-WAN connectivity and network protocols.
12. Extensive experience and expertise in design, implementation, configuration and support of Azure VDI .
13. Implement and monitor network security measures.
14. Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans.
15. Perform regular backups, test restores, and ensure data integrity.
16. Coordinate disaster recovery drills and responses.
17. Develop scripts and automation tools to streamline system administration tasks.
18. Implement configuration management for efficient and consistent system management.
19. Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT staff.
20. Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours support.
21. Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and policies.
22. Analyze system performance data to forecast resource requirements.
23. Plan and execute capacity upgrades as needed.
24. Ensure systems are compliant with Federal regulations and security standards.
25. Implement security patches and updates in a timely manner.

Required skills & experience:

1. At least eight (8) years of experience of infrastructure, cloud, security architecture, design, and development for Federal IT Organizations.
2. Bachelor's degree, in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
3. Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Cisco ).
4. Demonstrated experience with Cisco products.
5. Demonstrated experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk , CrowdStrike ).
6. Demonstrated experience with Secure Access Service Edge (SASE ) design and implementation.
7. Proven experience in system administration and network management.
8. Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, Linux/Unix), virtualization technologies, and network protocols.
9. Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
10. Strong understanding of cloud platforms, such as Azure and AWS.
11. Knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing security measures.
12. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
13. Effective communication and collaboration skills.
14. Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information.
15. Ability to work with all levels of internal staff, as well as outside clients and vendors.
