LHH Recruitment Solutions has an opening for a Software Engineer for our client in the Bohemia, NY area. This direct hire role allows you to expand your engineering career within a state-of-the-art technology organization. You will be responsible for the complete range of software engineering responsibilities required for projects, including but not limited to development of software specifications, software design, software implementation, system level testing, debugging, installation, maintenance, and support. This on-site role requires a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and a thorough understanding of SDLC (Software Design Life Cycle), as well as experience in integrating APIs for hardware into existing software programs. Candidates with experience in utilizing/working with digital imaging equipment and robotics are highly preferred.
Salary range: $75,000.00 – $95,000 annually
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for all activities in Software Design Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Assist with generation of system proposals and scope review (software requirements analysis, design, etc.)
- Interact with a cross-disciplinary engineering team (mechanical, electrical, software, imaging) to review, define, and design integrated system solutions to meet requirements of worldwide customers
- Develop and maintain best practices and quality processes for entire SW development function
- Travel to customer sites worldwide to participate in concept and technical discussions, kick-off meetings, oversee installations, or troubleshoot (approx. 20%).
REQUIREMENTS:
- Required - bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in computer science.
- Required - Understanding of SDLC and Agile development methodologies.
- Required - Experience with integrating APIs for new hardware devices into existing software.
- Familiarity with Digital Image Processing related software development highly preferred.
- Experience with Deep Learning.
- Experience with algorithms for Computed Tomography Reconstructions highly preferred.
- Required - Languages: C++, .NET environment, C#, Matlab, Python, REST APIs.
- Must be highly organized and self-motivated.
- Development Tools: Visual Studio 2013+
- Configuration Management Tools: SVN
- Must be able to successfully pass a complete background check and drug test.
