In this role, you will be responsible for the development, implementation, and verification of Power Integrity solutions for SoCs used in Apple devices. You will work with multi-functional teams to develop of droop targets, design and implement a power supply network solution, and verify the quality of the power supply using lab measurements.DescriptionWork with on-die/package/board power -delivery for current and future generations - Define the power architecture and design solution space for the target system - Provide implementation guidelines and feedback to silicon, package, and system design group - Perform feasibility study, design verification, and sign off - Perform model to hardware correlation on component and product/system levelMinimum QualificationsKey QualificationsExperience in design and analysis of product power supply solutionExperience in PI/SI methodology development, PDN modeling from system to die, and lab correlation/validationUnderstanding of power supply architecture covering voltage regulator technologies, PCB and package design trends and trade-offs, and chip supply design including low-power design methodologiesSolid understanding on PCB technologies including socket integration and its electrical performance in system environmentGood knowledge in 3D/2D EM simulation tools, electromagnetic and transmission line theoryFamiliar with lab equipment including but not limited to VNA, real-time scope, spectrum analyzerAbility to work and communicate efficiently in a multi-functional teamPreferred QualificationsEducation & ExperienceBS and +10 years of relevant industry experienceAdditional RequirementsPay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.
