Position: Python Engineer
Location: Blue Ash, OH (3 days on site)
Hire Type: 6 month contract-to-hire
Pay Range: $55-75/hr (contingent on experience, relevant skills, education)
Must Haves:
- 5 years of experience with object oriented programming
- Strong knowledge of Python programming
- Advanced SQL (or similar database experience)
- Experience working in the cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP)

- CI/CD tools

Day to Day:
An employer is seeking a Data Engineer for a 6 month contract to hire role in the Cincinnati area. This is a hybrid role and candidates should be willing to come onsite 3 days per week. This role will be supporting the fulfillment space and there are about 40 individuals working in this space currently. This group supports a platform that is currently in production and has been running for the last 2 years. They pull real time data from 2500 retail stores, transform that data, and use it for fulfilling orders (picking orders) which affects in stock and delivery. This platform is built already but they are working on providing metrics to all the stores and up to the executive levels.
Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Analyze, design and develop enterprise data and information architecture deliverables, focusing on data as an asset for the enterprise.
- Understand and follow reusable standards, design patterns, guidelines, and configurations to deliver valuable data and information across the enterprise.
- Designing, building, and deploying scalable cloud-based solution architectures
