Position Summary:

As part of Walmart's Social Commerce team, you will be building highly scalable and reliable APIs, services and applications which will drive the next generation of affiliates, and social commerce experiences. You’ll independently handle high impact, critical software/systems monitoring issues, troubleshoot business and production issues. As a member of this fast-moving and highly entrepreneurial team, you’ll be able to say that you work for the world’s largest retailer and contribute to innovation and development to best-in-class methodologies that impacted perception and drastically changed business as we know it.

About Team: Our team creates reusable technologies to help with customer acquisition, onboarding, and empowering merchants, while ensuring a seamless experience for both of these stakeholders. We also optimize tariffs and assortment in accordance with Walmart's Everyday Low Cost philosophy. We not only create affordability, but we also deliver customized experiences for customers across all channels - in-store, mobile app, and websites.

What you'll do:

  1. Develop highly scalable services and solve complex software systems problems by leveraging state-of-the-art technology.
  2. Gain exposure to various emerging technologies used in Marketing and E-commerce platforms.
  3. Drive projects of high visibility across the organization.
  4. Participate in medium- to large-scale, complex, cross-functional projects by reviewing project requirements; translating requirements into technical solutions; gathering requested information (for example, design documents, product requirement); writing and developing code; conducting unit testing; communicating status and issues to team members and stakeholders; collaborating with cross functional teams; troubleshooting open issues and bug-fixes; enhancing design to prevent re-occurrences of defects; ensuring on-time delivery.

What you'll bring:

  1. 3+ years of Experience with ReactJS/Redux/Next and 3+ years of web development experience required.
  2. Strong experience interfacing with Web Services platforms.
  3. Proficient in JavaScript, AJAX, HTML5, CSS3, JSON.
  4. Proficient in NodeJS, Next, GraphQL.
  5. Proficient in development of scalable cloud native microservices.
  6. Proficient with Designing and building APIs.
  7. Proficient with event driven architecture.
  8. Experience with Cloud Technologies like Azure and GCP.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Designed, built, and maintained APIs, services of highly scalable platforms.
  2. Extensive knowledge of open-source libraries, design patterns and micro-service architecture. Familiarity with CI/CD and unit testing.
  3. Experience in production system operations (logging, telemetry, alerting etc.).
  4. The keen eyes for detail and desire to learn, win, collaborate, and relish a challenge.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
  2. 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
