Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our IT team, supporting our nationwide operations with over 57 offices and 869 job sites. As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our hybrid cloud and network environments, with a focus on Microsoft and Fortinet technologies. This role includes supporting the infrastructure behind critical business applications, ensuring they operate seamlessly to meet organizational needs. Additionally, you will drive standardization across our Azure resources, focusing on right-sizing and optimizing resources to manage costs effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Infrastructure Management: Administer and maintain a hybrid Active Directory environment using Entra, Azure, and on-premises configurations

• Application Infrastructure Support: Ensure the underlying infrastructure supports business-critical applications, collaborating with application owners to maintain performance and reliability

• Cloud Operations and Standardization: Oversee and standardize Azure cloud resources to avoid oversizing, ensuring right-sized, efficient, and cost-effective configurations. Drive efforts to allocate cloud costs appropriately, aligning with FinOps principles

• Network Administration: Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot a complex Fortinet landscape, including FortiGate firewalls, FortiSwitches, FortiAPs, and FortiClient VPN (ZTNA). Ensure high performance and security of 200+ switches, 44+ firewalls, and countless access points

• Vendor Coordination: Partner with multiple ISPs, including fiber, copper, and StarLink providers, for network provisioning, decommissioning, and ongoing support

• Data Protection: Support and manage data backup solutions, including N-Able, Azure Backup, and evaluate/implement Commvault Metallic for future needs

• Collaboration Tools: Support and optimize Microsoft 365 suite, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Box, and Dropbox

• Business Intelligence: Manage and support Microsoft Fabric and Power BI environments for reporting and analytics

Qualifications:

• Experience: 8+ years in IT infrastructure roles with a strong focus on Microsoft and Fortinet products

Technical Proficiency:

• In-depth knowledge of Azure, Entra, and hybrid Active Directory environments

• Extensive experience with Fortinet products, including FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiAP, and FortiClient VPN ZTNA

• Strong familiarity with network protocols, ISP relationships, and provisioning/decommissioning processes

• Proficiency in backup and recovery solutions, specifically N-Able, Azure Backup, and Commvault

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 tools, Power BI, and cloud cost management practices (FinOps)

Certifications:

• Azure: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate

• Fortinet: NSE4 – Fortinet Network Security Professional, NSE5 – Fortinet Network Security Analyst, and NSE7 – Fortinet Troubleshooting Professional
