Senior Network and Telecom Operations Engineer

Looking for a strong Network and Telecom Operations person who can drive day-to-day network operations while also triaging network issues.

Experience with MS Exchange, MS Office 365 Administration, Virtualization, Network, and Telecom operations is required.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Creates documentation relating to Networking and Telecom support as required.
2. Works with vendors on SLAs, procedures, technology, and migrations.
3. Defines work processes and procedures to ensure availability, support, and stability of the environment.
4. Ensures Telecom infrastructure is administered effectively.
5. Communicates with Business and Managed Services on Telecom needs.
6. Recommends Networking and Telecom related hardware, software, and services.
7. Provides documentation for all phases as required by assigned projects.
8. Participates in various support reviews (requests, change orders) and brings follow-up action items to closure in a timely manner.
9. Provides immediate escalation support for problems escalated from the Network Administrator and Engineer.
10. Works with the team to provide high-level design in projects, including upgrades, acquisitions, and migrations.
11. Interacts with other Operations management and Senior personnel to resolve issues.
12. Defines plans for future growth and Enterprise demand.
13. Maintains a working knowledge of their field and advises the IT Operations Director of current trends relating to the Networking and Telecom environment or available products.
14. Defines and enforces best practices and implementations on the Enterprise.
15. Performs a variety of technology-related tasks as assigned by the IT Operations Director.
16. Completes all tasks within assigned schedule and budget while maintaining a high level of quality.
17. Provides periodic and accurate feedback on the status of assignments.
18. Identifies and communicates problems that affect progress to the team.
19. Resolves, or seeks resolution to problems, from peers, immediate manager, or other Operations personnel.
20. Defines standards and procedures identified for work assignments.
21. Reviews and creates all information and documents relevant to assignments in detail.
22. Maintains a positive work attitude, a high level of communication, and cordial relations that foster teamwork.
