Are you a legendary lead user experience designer?
Sköna is seeking a Lead UX/UI Designer to lead the digital/web practice in our San Francisco office. We are looking for a passionate and experienced individual with outstanding design and analytical sense. You are a visionary, think strategically and holistically about digital experiences, and are able to consult our C-level clients on how to grow their brands and businesses online. You also need to be a leader personality and inspire and mentor the digital creative team, oversee work from strategy to execution on multiple simultaneous projects, and work well across disciplines and offices.

Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Push our agency forward in creating forward-thinking digital experiences
Oversight and accountability of digital design projects from start to finish
Work with the brand team to extend brand concepts to website experiences. Produce user flows and customer journeys, wireframes, visual design and UI, prototypes, and interaction design for various B2B clients in the technology space
Lead and execute web strategy/UX strategy projects including research and analytics, and recommendations
Plan and conduct user research and testing relating to web and app initiatives
Lead and execute web visual design projects
Proactively identify web project opportunities for our clients
Act as a liaison between creative & development to ensure quality output and forward-thinking solutions
Lead and mentor a team of digital designers
Identifying opportunities for continuous process improvement, and proposing tools to support design operations
Provide digital thought leadership and best practices for the agency and team
Represent the agency’s creative ‘product’ – present concepts and ideas to clients and become the agency’s digital creative voice
Support on new business development. Selling Skona’s web services, participating in proposals by providing direction on process and budgets, and presenting recommendations to prospective clients.
Requirements
10+ years of proven experience in UX, UI, and interaction design for web
5+ years leading projects, teams, and consulting and presenting to clients
3+ years in an agency environment
2+ years experience in management
BA/BFA/MFA in design or similar discipline
Proven experience in creating innovative digital experiences that drive business results
Proven experience in planning, leading and executing website design projects from strategy to implementation
Comprehensive awareness and passion of new platforms, technologies, and trends for digital
Great understanding of the opportunities and limitations of the modern web and related technologies — coding experience preferred
Strong analytical skills
Strong leadership skills and highly developed interpersonal skills to lead, manage, and inspire the creative team
Understanding of accessibility standards and how they are implemented throughout the design process

Salary Range
$115,000 – $135,000
