Power BI Developer (*need clearance*)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Power BI developer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions, crafting and executing queries upon request for data, and presenting information through reports and visualizations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Translate business needs to technical specifications
2. Design, build, and deploy Microsoft Power BI interactive and paginated reports and semantic models
3. Evaluate, maintain, support, and improve existing Power BI reports and models
4. Conduct integration testing and troubleshooting
5. Collaborate with teams to integrate systems
6. Develop and execute data queries and conduct analyses
7. Create visualizations and reports for requested projects
8. Develop and update technical documentation

Requirements:

1. Must be US Citizen with Secret clearance
2. Proven experience as a Microsoft Power BI Developer or Data Engineer
3. Familiar with dimensional modeling
4. Understanding of database management systems, ETL (Extract, transform, load) frameworks, and SQL language
5. Experience creating interactive reports and dashboards in Microsoft Power BI using the standard visuals
6. Experience creating paginated reports in Microsoft Power BI, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) or similar report frameworks
7. Experience manipulating and cleaning data using Transform Data and Power Query M query formula language
8. Comfortable writing simple DAX expressions to build measures and calculated columns
9. Familiarity with Dynamics 365 & Dataverse
10. Familiarity with Azure Synapse Link for Dataverse
11. Familiarity with Microsoft Azure
12. Familiarity with source control and deployment pipelines
13. Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative
14. Ability to demonstrate attention to detail and produce high quality, accurate reports from high-level requirements
15. Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude
16. Excellent communication and collaboration skills
17. Certification as Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate a plus
