Series C fintech company is seeking an experienced Director of Human Resources to lead their people strategy and operations. This is an exciting opportunity to shape employee experience and culture at a high-growth organization! In this role, you will drive strategic HR initiatives from talent acquisition through development, while building scalable programs that support our rapid growth as well as oversee the employee lifecycle, from designing engaging onboarding experiences to developing performance management systems and leadership development programs. Someone who is both strategic and hands-on, ready to build and scale HR processes in a dynamic startup environment. Someone with 10+ years of experience leading People with their SPHR/PHRca certification is desired. This is an in-office role based in Milpitas. 160-180K+ DOE + comprehensive benefits, 401k, generous PTO, and more!
Responsibilities:

  • Drive exceptional employee experience from onboarding through development, implementing engaging programs that support growth and retention.
  • Create scalable leadership development solutions to enhance management capabilities, team performance, and employee retention.
  • Leverage HR analytics to track key metrics (engagement, performance, retention) and drive data-informed people decisions.
  • Design and implement performance management systems that promote excellence through clear feedback and recognition.
  • Embed company values into HR programs while personally modeling these values daily.
  • Establish comprehensive coaching and mentorship frameworks to support employee growth at all levels.
  • Lead employee relations by developing effective communication and collaboration processes.
  • Set clear accountability standards and performance expectations aligned with company mission.
  • Scale and nurture company culture through targeted programs that reinforce core values.
  • Ensure compliance with all labor laws and regulations through proactive policy management.
  • Oversee end-to-end employee lifecycle including payroll, benefits, and talent acquisition.
  • Manage and optimize our Human Capital Management platform to support HR processes.
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience as an HR People leader. SPHR and/or PHRca certificate.
  • Experience building various programs from the ground up.
  • Demonstrated track record of original thinking and willingness to learn.
  • Organized and self-directed.
  • Comfortable in thinking strategically and then executing.
  • Progressive and innovative attitude toward people programming and HR guidelines.
  • Thoughtful people management and mentorship skills
  • Eagerness to work in a startup environment and roll up your sleeves as an individual contributor within an emerging industry.
  • Paycor experience is a plus!
