We are looking for a highly skilled Java developer with a strong background in both Mainframe (MF) technologies and modern development practices. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of mainframe systems, particularly with managing Mainframe jobs and Java-based modernization efforts. The goal is to reduce the reliance on Mainframe and transition to Java while maintaining and managing critical APIs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strong proficiency in Mainframe (MF) systems is a must, including the ability to navigate and work with MF jobs.
- Expertise in Java, Spring Framework, and API maintenance is essential, with a focus on managing enrollment data and building jobs that retrieve and share this data with customers, plans, and vendors.
- Experience in Agile and Scrum methodologies is critical, ensuring smooth collaboration and efficient project delivery.
- Lead the modernization effort to move from Mainframe to Java-based systems, ensuring seamless integration.
- Performs complex analysis, design, development, testing, and debugging of software, ranging from system architecture to software design and selection.
- Develop and document highly complex application programs, with a focus on both Mainframe (COBOL) and Java programming environments.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define system scope, objectives, and project baselines, ensuring all project standards and processes are met.
Qualifications
• Must have application development expertise using the COBOL programming language and environments (CICS, JCL, TSO/ISPF, ChangeMan, Topaz...etc)
• Must have Java development experience with ability to develop unit / integration test cases using Junit /TestNg.
• Must have ability to understand and work with code developed by other developers.
• Must have ability to work independently.
• Must have experience with web services and understanding of RESTful / SOA Services.
• Must have extensive experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
• Must have strong experience in continuous integration within DevOps environment.
• Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written (in English).
• Must have experience with working on experience Java, Spring related technologies such as Spring Core, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Integration
• Must have experience with cloud technologies in AWS.
• Good to have experience working with API Management Tools.
• Good to have Experience working with GIT/BitBucket.
