NLP Logix is recruiting a Software Engineer IV to join its growing team of IT and Business professionals. This position is for a full-time employee, will be based out of Jacksonville, FL.

NLP Logix is a Data Science product and services company based in Jacksonville, FL that specializes in AI Solution Development, Machine Learning, and Advanced Analytics for a variety of use cases, industries, and customers across the United States.

The Software Engineer IV will serve a critical role in the business operations and in delivering high-quality solutions to our customers. The Software Engineer IV will work closely with other members of the NLP Logix team to implement and deliver world-class software solutions.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

1. Work with other members of the NLP Logix team to clearly understand business needs and translate those needs into software solutions.
2. Develop end-to-end solutions with the help of other team members and implement those solutions as customer deliverables.
3. Work directly with customers to effectively communicate the solution progress and timelines and guarantee solution efficacy.
4. Contribute to story refinement/defining requirements.
5. Set up and develop continuous integration/continuous delivery pipelines.
6. Identifying and maintaining technical debt throughout project lifecycle.
7. Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application.
8. Participates and contributes to the delivery/release (CI-CD) events, e.g., branching timelines, pull requests, issue triage, merge/conflict resolution, release notes.
9. Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
10. Mentor and guide work of less experienced software development team members.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, and/or 7 years related experience in an IT discipline.
2. Experience working with cloud environments.
3. Experience using Infrastructure-As-Code to build large scale environments.
4. Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks with competing deadlines.
5. Ability to analyze complex information sets and communicate that information in a clear, well thought out, and well laid out manner.
6. Understanding of software development methodologies and practices, including agile development, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.

Desired Skills

1. Extensive experience with Python.
2. Extensive experience with web technologies within the Python ecosystem.
3. Extensive experience with version control using git and GitHub.
4. Extensive experience with database engineering including high proficiency with SQL and NoSQL.
5. Experience with Microsoft Azure and/or AWS.
6. Strong experience with .NET.
7. Strong experience with SPA frameworks such as ReactJS, Angular, Vue, and/or Blazor WASM.
8. Strong analytical skills and intellectual curiosity.
9. Strong customer service skills.
10. Strong attention to detail.
11. Strong written and verbal skills.
12. Ability to work well within a multi-disciplinary team.
