The candidate will join a talented team of scientists and engineers (located in Chicago, Boston, Vancouver and Krakow, Poland) in the Chief Technology Office at Motorola Solutions working on developing mission-critical AI solutions for our public safety and commercial customers. Our mission is to provide meaningful value to MSI’s customers by developing domain-specific applications and services in the areas of Speech & Audio, Machine Translation, Natural Language Understanding and Computer Vision.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

1. Implement Machine Learning and Computer Vision algorithms in C++ under the supervision of senior members of the team.
2. Evaluate Machine Learning and Computer Vision algorithms such as object detection, classification and tracking.
3. Develop and maintain Python scripts for performance visualization and evaluation of the algorithms.
4. Train and evaluate Deep Learning models such as object detectors and classifiers.

Required Skills:

1. Senior year for undergraduate or master students in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a relevant field.
2. Solid programming, debugging and problem solving skills.
3. 1+ years of experience in C++.
4. Familiarity with Object Oriented design, common design patterns, and data structures.

Desired Skills:

1. Hands-on experience in developing, deploying, and improving Computer Vision and Machine Learning models and algorithms.
2. Knowledge in image processing, object detection, classification and tracking.
3. Proficiency in C++ and Python.

Basic Requirements:

1. High School Diploma required
2. Must be pursuing a minimum of a Bachelor's degree (Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or other Engineering or Technical degree)
3. Must have a graduation date of May 2024 or later.
